- Technician Apprentice (Diploma): Diploma in Engineering/Technology from a recognized institute
- Graduate Apprentice (General Stream): BA, B.Sc, B.Com (Non-Engineering fields)
- Trade Apprentice: ITI in relevant trades (Electrician, Lineman, Plumber, Fitter)

Selection Process
- Selection will be based on merit as per marks obtained in Degree/Diploma/ITI.
- Preference will be given to candidates belonging to the state where the power station is located.
- If sufficient local candidates are unavailable, selection will be made from other Northeast states based on merit.
- The list of selected candidates will be published on www.neepco.co.in, and call letters will be sent via registered email.

- Obtain a valid enrolment ID after successful registration.

- Apply for the desired apprenticeship stream.
- Register on the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) portal: www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in
- Obtain a valid enrolment ID.
